SYNOPSIS OF GAMES


#15 ELEPHANT’S SNOT

               A team game for 4 - 12 players 

     AIM OF GAME:
   ·   To work as a team to get as many ‘elephant’s snot balls’ as possible (tennis balls) down the elephant’s trunk (air-conditioning /concertina tubing) within the given time-limit.
       *In certain cultures this term may be offensive, so please be sensitive to the beliefs and customs of the children with whom you may find yourself working with. Please accept my sincere apology if any offence is taken. The title for this game came about as a spontaneous response from children and teachers when the game was first introduced. As I have essentially chosen to use this title within an Australian context; my suggested alternative name for the game is ‘Squishy Tunnel’.





#2 MARBLE KISSES

        An individual game of skill – a mini version of carpet bowls.

     AIM OF GAME:
·        To score points by ‘kissing’ as many marbles as possible without going off the mat.
 


#18 IN THE ZONE

A combination of a North American Indian stick-dice game & the world’s most ancient game from Mesopotamia. 2 single players or 2 teams.



AIM OF GAME:
·         To get all 5 ‘men’ through the ZONE — in, around and off the playing board  before your opponent send you back to the start.


#5 MOUSE HUNT

  A treasure hunt-type game of chance & memory for 2 players. Each player gives instructions to their opponent based on grid co-ordinates.


AIM OF GAME:
·         To find the hidden ‘mice’ underneath pots—winner finds the most mice.



#6 FOUR-on-the-FLOOR

A horizontal variation of a traditional strategy game for 2 players of connecting 4-in-a-row.


    AIM OF GAME:
·   To get 4 of your ‘men’ in a row vertically, horizontally or diagonally

#20 DOMINO DICE DOWN

A strategy/chance game for 3 or 4 players using large dice & extra-large dominoes. Adaption of a traditional game, and a variation of Domino Dice Elimination in Book 1

AIM OF GAME:
·         To cover as many giant domino boards with your marker, by rolling dice and adding numbers shown. Winner has the most number of markers down or disposes of all their markers.







#7KONO: 5 in-a-row

An ancient game with adaptations using a giant-size board game. Also a variation of KONO 4 IN-A-ROW  in Book 1
A strategy/chance game for 2 or 4 players.

AIM OF GAME:
·         To move all of your MEN’ to the opposite side of the board first — only moving DIAGONALLY. 
o   NOTE: This game is also very similar to Checkers / Draughts




#11 HAPPY FEAT

A cooperative strategy game of memory for 2 or more players, using a grid.

AIM OF GAME:
·         To get your ‘Happy Feat’ mascot safely via the secret path across the obstacle course grid by using memory skills.

A strategy game for 4 players.  A variation of Naughts & Crosses

AIM OF GAME:
·         To get 3 in-a-row as in Yic Yac Yo from Book 1
·         A win can be achieved diagonally (2 ways), vertically (1 way) or horizontally (2 ways).


Note: THERE ARE ONLY 5 DIRECTIONAL WAYS TO WIN IN THIS GAME

#4 TRI-TOPS

A strategy game for 3 players based on TOPS — a variation of Naughts & Crosses.

AIM OF GAME:
·         To get 3 in-a-row as in Yic Yac Yo from Book 1 and TOPS from Book 2.
·         A win can be achieved diagonally, vertically or horizontally.
Note: THERE ARE ONLY 4 DIRECTIONAL WAYS TO WIN IN THIS GAME

A competitive game of chance & skill for 2 – 4 players. Great game for hand-eye coordination.

AIM OF GAME:
·         To earn points by throwing rubber discs onto the grid. Winner scores the most points.








#1 TOWER UP

A game for 4 – 8 players
AIM OF GAME:
·       COMPETITIVE
To work as a team within the time limit of 2 minutes to land as many discs onto the tower and re-construct a new tower beside the old one.

·         NON-COMPETITIVE
Players take turns to land as many discs onto the tower and re-construct a new tower beside the old one.

A strategy/chance & game of skill for 2-4 players.

AIM OF GAME:
The aim of ‘SIR PLUNKETT’ is to score as many points as possible by pulling the giant sticks out of the holes before all the balls fall to the bottom of the tub.

  •           The aim of ‘CHOPSTICK SUEY’ (‘TONGS OF NOODLES’) is to score as many points as possible by picking up NOODLE BITS from one container — using giant chopsticks — and transferring them to another.
